Rio Grande Community

The Rio Grande community plays an integral role in supporting the international community at University of Rio Grande. Since 2022, Professor Donahue, a dedicated faculty member at Rio and an active member of Calvary Baptist Church, has led efforts to bring international students together for a warm and welcoming Thanksgiving meal. Beyond Rio students, Calvary Baptist Church extends its generosity to include other community members, creating a true spirit of togetherness.

The Rio extends heartfelt gratitude to Pastor Vinton Rankin, his wife Marcela Rankin, the congregation of Calvary Baptist Church, Twinkleberries Café, and the dedicated faculty and staff at Rio. Thanks to their collaboration and contributions, the 2024 Thanksgiving Lunch was a success, filled with fellowship, gratitude, and delicious food.
